Admissions Officer
Wilmington Montessori School seeks experienced & enthusiastic candidate with strong interpersonal skills to administer our Admissions Office. As part of the Advancement team, candidate should be well versed in enrollment management and planning, recruitment strategies, admission tracking and reporting, event planning/execution and possess the ability to support and articulate the unique qualities of a Montessori education. Experience in admissions and marketing in an independent school environment is strongly desired. Must be experienced with the Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint. Advancement Assistant
The Advancement Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the Advancement Department, primarily the Director of Advancement. As an integral part of the Advancement team, candidate should be well versed in event planning/execution, comfortable with managing discrete projects and a solid writer. Experience with fund raising and/or in an independent school environment is strongly desired. Must be experienced and comfortable with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management (experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus!). Substitutes
If you enjoy a new experience every day, and enjoy getting to know children and teachers in a wide variety of classrooms (infant through 6th grade) consider becoming a call-in substitute at WMS. You tell us your availability on each day of the week between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm, and we will call you when opportunities arise within those parameters. Job requirements are good listening skills, willingness to ask questions and to follow the direction of the lead teacher, love and respect for young people, and an interest in learning about the Montessori method of education.
